In the mid 80's Ed Benjamin replaced Skeeter on rhythm guitar & vocals. Later, Bruce Derr left and Fooch took over steel as well as fiddle duties, with Bruce going over to guitar & mandolin and Ed to bass. Skeeter replaced Ed on bass & vocals and eventually Rick Palley took over on upright bass. The Doughboys were regulars at Ashokan's Western & Swing week since 1987, where they had the incredible experience of working with Jazz Mandolin legend Tiny Moore, and many other great musicians. In 1990, Bruce met his future wife, Colleen there and moved to North Carolina in 1991. The band would reunite for Western week through most of the 90's. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
